Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 22nd October 2023 episode starts with Swarna showing Manish, Akshara’s report and scolding her for having poor health report, telling her that from today she is under her supervision. 

Akshara tries to distract Swarna by talking about Karwachowth but Swarna is not easily deterred.

Just then, Abhimanyu comes there asking what is the occasion while Muskaan tells Akshara that she should not fast tomorrow. 

Abhimanyu also agrees with Muskaan while others side with Abhimanyu. 

Akshara and Abhimanyu begin to banter when Aarohi comes there and would have spilt Abhimanyu’s secret when he cuts her off, telling Akshara that she is also on his side. 

Aarohi follows Abhimanyu inside, asking him why has he not told Akshara about leaving Birla Hospital. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells her that he does not want Akshara to feel pressured to make a living and in this condition, stress is not good for her. 

Aarohi agrees with him and tells him that she will not tell Akshara anything.

Just then, Akshara comes there looking suspicious while Aarohi lies to her that she is suggesting a gift for her.

Elsewhere, Shefali is about to go and give Akshara Sargi (food plate) when Manjari comes there to stop her. 

Mahima tells her to stop being so stubborn and accept Akshara and her baby because that is the only way to get Abhimanyu back. 

However, Manjari tells her that she should not give her advice when she forced him to quit the hospital. 

Seeing them argue, Shefali tells them to stop bickering while Manjari expresses worry that Abhimanyu will have to depend on Akshara financially as well. 

Mahima tells her that she only wants her to be happy as she cannot live without Abhimanyu. 

On being reminded about Abhimanyu’s wedding, Manajri gets worried and walks out from there.

Abhimanyu is sitting in the dark, working when Akshara comes there asking him what is he doing so early in the morning, while Abhimanyu asks her the same. 

Akshara tells him that she is feeling hungry and Aarohi is making something for her.

Just then, the whole Goenka clan arrives to be ready to eat Sargi while Abhimanyu feels sad that he does not have a Sargi or family to give to Akshara. 

Akshara tells him that he is all the family she needs and it is his support that has her standing tall. 

Shefali comes there with Sargi while Abhimanyu thinks that Manjari has also come with Shefali but feels disappointed. 

Akshara tells him not to worry as soon this time will pass. 

Elsewhere, Manjari continues to spiral and thinks that Akshara will never forget Abhinav as she loves him a lot and she will never love Abhimanyu therefore, he will never be happy with her. 

In the morning, Akshara is surprised to see Abhimanyu return the breakfast and wonders if he is fasting for her. 

Later, she goes to force-feed him so he does not fast for her but Abhimanyu force-feed her as well. 

However, neither of them swallows the bite and spits it out late. 

Later, Abhimanyu is busy with his interviews, hoping to land a job soon while others are interested in his reasons for leaving the job. 

Meanwhile, Akshara finds Abhimanyu’s file and decides to drop it at the hospital where she overhears Aarohi, asking Mahima to take Abhimanyu back who is interviewing for other jobs and keeping it a secret from Akshara. 

Akshara is shocked to hear the news and feels sad that Abhimanyu is leaving everything he cherishes for her.
