Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 23rd April 2023 episode starts with Akshara breaking down in her car.

She  keeps on repeating to assure her heart that Abheer is her son even though Abhimanyu knows the truth.

Feeling short of breath, she weeps while unknowingly blocking the traffic on road.

Meanwhile, Mansi eavesdrop on Kairav's conversation while Kairav shares his feeling about her with Muskaan.

He confesses that he likes Muskaan while she blushes and walks away.

In the Birla house, Akshara's word haunts Abhimanyu while flashbacks from the past take over his mind.

Manjari gets worried seeing him, asking him the reason for his weak condition while he hugs her.

Meanwhile, Akshara is nervous knowing Abhimanyu might ruin their plan to go the US with Abheer and bumps her car into Manjari's car.

Further, Manjari scolds Akshara for being careless as the car is broken down and emitting smoke.

She tells Akshara that she might not forgive her but always wishes well for Abheer as she feels a strong connection with him.

Manjari tells her that their decision to go to the US will be in everybody's best interest.

Akshara is relieved knowing that Abhimanyu has not disclosed Abheer's secret to the family yet.

While Abhimanyu drives his car, he promises himself to not get weak and fight for his son, Abheer.

Just then, Akshara gets happy seeing Abheer with balloons with I Love My Son written over them and wonders if only Abhinav can love him so much.

She unknowingly applauds Abheer's father but is shocked to know Abhimanyu getting balloons for him.

Akshara is stunned to see Abhimanyu in Goenka's house while Abhinav covers up her expressions as family members question her.

She wonders about Abhimanyu not doing anything as he has not even informed Manjari until then.

Abhimanyu tells Goenka's family that he is home for Abheer and takes him to the room.

Akshara tries intervening but Manish asks her to let them spend time together as Abheer's happy to have his doc-man home.

Abhimanyu, in the room, adores Abheer's innocence and gets a grip on his tears as well.

He finds his glimpses in Abheer as his actions reflect Abhimanyu's presence, be it about not touching hair or love and gratitude for Mahadev or wearing spectacles.

Abhimanyu's joy has no bounds seeing so much of him in Abheer while Akshara is nervous downstairs.

Back in the room, Abheer shares with his docman that he wants to stay back in Udaipur and asks him to weave his magic so that they can stay back here.

However, Akshara comes to the room and hears their conversation about cancelling the US trip.

She asks Abheer to take his medicines from Abhinav while he and Abhimanyu share a light joke about Akshara.

As Abheer leaves the room, Akshara informs Abhimanyu about their flight tomorrow while he denounces the same.

Abhimanyu tells Akshara that his son will not go anywhere but she tells him that he cannot stop Abheer as he has no rights over him.

Akshara reminds him about Abhinav being Abheer's father and not him.

Abhimanyu tells her that no matter how much she tries, she cannot change the truth.

He assures her to try as much as she can but Abheer will be treated by him only.

Abhimanyu warns Akshara as he will come again tomorrow but Akshara interrupts him to not come as it is of no use.

He tells her that if he wants, he can get anything and she must remember his strong willpower.

Abhimanyu leaves the room and murmurs, though he wanted to forget the Abhimanyu from the past but to keep his son with him, he has to be his old version.
