Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 23rd March 2023 episode starts with Kairav apologising to Akshara for being the worst brother while Akshara tells him to not say such things. 

Akshara also tells him that he has the right to be angry at her and she knows he will always love her. 

Kairav tells her that she was right but he admitted this truth too late. 

In the meantime, Ruhi is celebrating the news of her Matashree and Poppy's engagement while Manjari tells Aarohi that she has relieved her of the burden by saying yes. 

On the other hand, Mahima is talking to Parth when she sees the other Birla's rejoicing and goes away. 

Later, Akshara performs Kairav’s Aarti and ties the red holy thread to his hand. 

Kairav tries to give her money but Akshara refuses and Kairav threatens Abheer into taking it. 

Abhinav hugs Kairav and tells him that this is his home too so he is free to come whenever he feels like visiting. 

After a while, Ruhi asks Manjari if she needs a prettier dress for the engagement while Manjari tells her to buy whatever she wishes. 

She also prays to God to keep Akshara happy forever so she never returns to Abhimanyu’s life ever again. 

On the other hand, Akshara is telling Abheer to bring his homework when Abhinav comes there and tells Akshara to wear a red Saree for the veneration tomorrow to which Akshara agrees.  

Abhinav becomes happy at Akshara’s easy acceptance and pinches himself to check he is not dreaming. 

Meanwhile, Abheer feels sick and sweaty and Akshara picks up a phone to make a call. 

In Udaipur, as Abhimanyu is sitting on the sofa, he gets a call from Akshara and looks at the phone for a long time before picking up the call. 

Hearing Abheer’s voice on the other side, Abhimanyu gets worried while Abheer tells him that he is not well and asks him to not tell Abhinav and Akshara as he does not want to worry them. 

Abhimanyu makes a video call after a preliminary checkup and tells Abheer a breathing exercise to help him breathe easily. 

Later, Akshara spots Abheer on a phone and asks him who is talking to.

Abheer lies to her and deletes the last call from the call log. 

After a while, Ruhi calls Manish excitedly and tells them that Abhimanyu and Aarohi are getting engaged tomorrow. 

In the meantime, Aarohi takes the phone and tells them she wants to give another chance to Abhimanyu who is trying very hard to change. 

Manish, Suhasini, and Swarna tell Aarohi they are happy for her if she is happy. 

Later, Akshara is chopping brinjals when Abheer comes there, objecting to eating brinjal as his pizza topping.

Just then, Abhinav comes to them looking ready and sprays perfume on himself, and tells Akshara that he is taking them to have Pizza and will spare no expense as they can eat whatever they like. 

Later, Abhinav asks Akshara on a date and Akshara agrees to the date as he finally has the courtesy to ask her on a date even if it is with their five-year-old son.
