Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 23rd May 2023 episode starts with Aarohi coming out of the surgery looking defeated while Manish, and Swarna all ask her about Abheer. 

Akshara walks with laden legs towards her, asking about Abheer.

However, Aarohi tells her that Abhimanyu is not well and is constantly crying and his hands are constantly shaking. 

Meanwhile, Abhinav tells them to not worry as Abhimanyu is with them and he will not let anything to Abheer. 

Abhimanyu is standing frozen at the operating table while Dr. Rohan tells him that Abheer’s vitals are dropping. 

Just then, Aarohi comes back and jolts Abhimanyu into action and tells him that he cannot leave his patient. 

She reminds him that he will lose his son if he does not operate immediately. 

Abhimanyu holds the scalpel with shaking hands when Akshara’s singing reaches Abhimanyu’s ears and he feels soothed. 

After rigorous singing, Abhimanyu finally finishes the surgery and comes out to tell the good news to everyone but has eyes only for Akshara.  

A wave of happiness fills everyone and they all hug each other while Akshara goes away from there. 

Abhimanyu also follows her but stops at a distance seeing her cry. 

However, Akshara turns to see him and hugs him with gratitude while Abhimanyu feels helpless that he cannot even touch her to offer comfort. 

Akshara thanks Abhimanyu and tells him that she would have died if anything would have happened to Abheer. 

Abhimanyu tells her that Abheer is his life too and he cannot possibly let anything happen to him. 

Akshara apologises to him for doubting his abilities and tells him that he is the best heart surgeon while Abhimanyu tells her that he is. 

Akshara tells him that it will not hurt to be a bit humble while Abhimanyu smilingly asks her what humbleness is. 

After a while, Abhimanyu tells Akshara that he will send her the laundry bill which makes Akshara realize that she is still hugging and crying over him. 

She apologizes but Abhimanyu tells her not to as sometimes people even punch the doctors and she is only hugging him. 

Later, Suhasini is helping Muskaan pack food and tea for the hospital and tells Muskaan to go with the driver. 

Just then, Kairav comes there and offers to take her but Muskaan refuses saying she will take the auto if the driver is not there. 

Kairav tells her that whatever happens between them is nothing but a misunderstanding and she should not feel guilty or awkward about it. 

He also tells her that she will have to go with him even if it means sitting in the back seat. 

At the hospital, Abhinav watches Abhir from the glass wall and thanks God for keeping him safe. 

Meanwhile, Manjari tells Rohan to treat all the staff to Lunch and some sweets. 

Later, Akshara and Abhimanyu return there and Akshara looks happy to see Abheer.

Soon the nurse signals them to come inside while Akshara, Abhinav, and Abhimanyu run inside but Abhimanyu stops at the threshold. 

After a while, Abheer opens his eyes and calls Abhimanyu to him. 

Abhinav realizes Abheer’s intentions and asks Abhimanyu to take his place. 

Abheer apologizes to Abhimanyu for hiding in the trunk while Akshara tells him to not do that in the future.

However, Abheer tells her that he cannot promise that but he knows that Abhimanyu will not let anything happen to him. 

Abhimanyu also promises him that he will never let him get stuck in any such situation. 

Afterward, Abhimanyu gets up and tells Abhinav to sit as he is going to check up on some reports. 

Later, Abhimanyu is reading Abheer’s reports when Abhinav comes there and hugs him with gratitude.
