Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 23rd October 2023 episode starts with Abhimanyu walking past Akshara while Akshara continues to hide behind the paper. 

After a while, Abhimanyu stops and turns back recalling the ring and if that is Akshara behind the paper but she is already gone. 

Later, Manish is surprised to hear that Abhimanyu is thrown out of the hospital while Akshara tells him that he has resigned himself because he wants to give time to Abheer and the new baby. 

She tells them that Abhimanyu is struggling because of her and she needs their help to get his dream job. 

Kairav tells her not to worry as he is friends with the City Hospital dean and will get the job in no time but Manish tells him that City Hospital will not be a good fit for him.

Later, Akshara comes to meet Abhimanyu’s prospective employer not to give Abhimanyu this job. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu returns home and Abheer complains to him that Akshara has not eaten the soup. 

Abhimanyu sternly tells her to finish the soup while he freshens up. 

However, Akshara tries to hide it so Abhimanyu does not find out about it but he is standing right behind her and shames her for lying and fasting despite her health. 

Akshara tells him that Abhimanyu is equally important to her and requests him to let her finish the fast as only a few hours are left. 

On the other hand, Manjari signs the cheque with shaking hands, thinking that she will do everything in her power to stop Abhimanyu from marrying Akshara. 

She is crying after signing the cheque when Shefali comes there and gets worried to see her cry. 

She also sees the check of 15 crore rupees to Abhimanyu and asks Manjari about it. 

However, Manjari lies to her saying that it is an old cheque and she put the zeroes wrong so she is about to tear it down. 

Afterwards, she distracts Shefali by asking her to call Mahima as Anand is waiting for her. 

Elsewhere, Kairav is feeling the effects of fast and drools over the tasty food while the women makes fun of him.

Just then, Aarohi and Mahima come there when Mahima tells Abhimanyu that she was wrong to trust Parth but now she has realised her mistake and requests him to come back. 

Abhimanyu becomes happy and hugs Mahima giving his confirmation while Mahima recalls how the investors back down from the last minute by taking the deal to another hospital. 

After Mahima leaves, everyone congratulates Abhimanyu while trying to hide that they knew about his resignation. 

Afterwards, Kairav once again begins to complain about the moon taking its sweet time to reveal itself. 

Swarna tells him that he should distract himself by dancing for Muskaan as Manish used to do for her. 

Kairav tells her that with no food his energy levels are down and he cannot even move to dance.

However, the women shame the men while Manish forces Kairav to dance as it is a matter of pride. 

After a while, Abhimanyu takes Akshara aside asking if she is the one who has made it possible.

Akshara tells him that Birla Hospital is his home ground and she does not want him to leave that too for her. 

Meanwhile, she complains to him for keeping the news of his resignation from her and reminds him of their promise to each other. 

Elsewhere, Manjari gives Parth the cheque and begs him to help her in bringing Abhimanyu home. 

On being asked what is there for him, Manjari tells him that she will do anything he would want only if he succeeds in bringing Abhimanyu back.
