Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 28th August 2023 episode starts with Akshara telling Abheer to come with them to cheer for but Abheer remains quiet. 

Akshara feels disappointed and tells him to let it be if he does not feel like coming. 

Akshara turns around hoping for Abheer to take just one step in her direction and then she will put everything to right. 

Just then Akshara’s foot gets tangled in the carpet and she is about to fall when Abheer catches her. 

On the other hand, Abhimanyu wonders why Goenkas have not arrived while Manjari tells her that Abheer might refuse to come and then there is no point for them to come. 

However, Abhimanyu thinks that Akshara will find a way to bring Abheer. 

Just then, Ruhi spots Abheer with the Goenkas and shouts with joy. 

Abhimanyu asks Abheer if he is ready to play while Akshara tells him that Abheer is not ready to play but she has an idea that will bring him on the field. 

Later, Badtameez boys arrive at the ground and make fun of Akshara and her team. 

Suhasini forward, looks into the boy’s eyes and signals him towards the board. 

The boys get angry to see themselves labelled as Badtameez boys and tell them that they will show what Battamizi (misbehaviour) is. 

Afterwards, they all get ready for the game while Surekha is the goalkeeper and Aarohi tells her to catch the ball exactly as she catches other people’s weakness.

After a while, they all ask Akshara if their plan will work or not while Akshara tells them that if they will follow their plan to the T then it will work.

Later, the match begins and the whole family struggles to keep the ball with them while Manish tricks the boys and Ruhi scores the goal. 

Badtameez boys are shocked at their slyness while Manish tells him that he is after all a father in all sense. 

Meanwhile, Abheer analyses the boys and all of a sudden gets up telling Akshara to watch it. 

However, he remains a bystander while the other team scores the goal. 

After a while, Manjari gets angry when no one passes her the ball and in anger scores a goal for the opposite team 

The referee announces the halftime while Akshara and others tell each other that they are very close and they will have to stick to the plan. 

Just then, Abheer comes there with water and Akshara asks him to help them because they are in pickle. 

Abheer gives them all tips about making their play better and goes back to sit. 

Akshara feels happy and tells them that their plan is working and they will have to wait another few minutes and Abheer will soon be smiling. 

After a while, Abhimanyu purposely gets injured to bring Abheer to the field while the match rests at the crucial point.
