Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 28th February 2023 episode starts with Ruhi telling Manjari that she was to make this announcement and excitedly tells everyone that Abhimanyu will become her father after marrying Aarohi. 

Abheer is happy at the news and claps for Ruhi which makes them friends. 

Manjari explains her reason for telling the happy news when all the family members are present. 

Suhasini takes down her birthday tiara upon hearing the news while Akshara looks white as a sheet. 

Kairav questions Aarohi for not consulting with him on this matter while Abhimanyu tells him that he and Aarohi are getting married so that no one can tell Ruhi that he is not her father. 

Kairav recalls the painful moments of the past and punches the table in anger. 

Akshara takes the kids from the room while other guests also leave the party. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells Kairav to talk calmly while Kairav tells him that there is nothing left to talk about after announcing their decision. 

In the meantime, Ruhi questions Akshara about everyone’s reaction while she tells her that elders need to talk it out. 

Meanwhile, Kairav's misbehaviour makes Manjari angry and she tells him to tone it down and talk calmly with her son. 

Manish tells Kairav to apologize to Manjari and Abhimanyu. 

Kairav accuses Manjari of emotionally blackmailing Aarohi and reminds her of all the happening of the past. 

He also tells her that Aarohi has not taken a decision but is committing a compromise to Manjari’s advantage and that is why she has no problem with that.

Abhimanyu tells him to not misbehave with his mother while Kairav questions Aarohi for not consulting her family before taking this decision. 

He tells Aarohi to not repeat Akshara’s mistake.

Kairav expresses his pain at Akshara’s decision for marrying without consulting them while accusing Aarohi of doing the same. 

Meanwhile, Abhinav worries for Akshara and goes to check up on her. 

At the same time, Akshara comes to sit in the room, trying to come to terms with the news. 

Kairav forewarns Aarohi that Abhimanyu will leave her in the same way he left Akshara when she needed him the most.

After a while, Abhinav comes to Akshara who is in turmoil thinking about the news. 

Akshara tells him that she cannot say she is fine but does not want to say that she is not fine. 

Abhinav tells her it is ok to feel that way. 

Just then, Manjari’s loud voice attracts their attention and they come down to hear Kairav shouting at Abhimanyu for threatening him in his own home. 

Kairav tells him what more can he do after ruining Akshara’s life as they might have forgotten the past but his family remembers it too well. 

Manjari burst into anger, telling Kairav that she has not forgotten that fateful day when she lost everything and the person who took it away from her. 

Abhimanyu tries to calm Manjari but Manjari continues telling Kairav that her son is living a lonely life for 6 years while Akshara who is responsible for their grief is living a happy and settled life. 

Aarohi also tells Kairav to talk later but calm down for now but Kairav refuses to back down when Aarohi’s life is at stake. 

After a while, Manjari tells Aarohi to get Ruhi as they will not stay here for another minute while Abhimanyu insists on finishing the matter. 

Abhimanyu tells Kairav that he is sorry for the way the news comes out but he is not sorry for marrying Aarohi.
