Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 28th May 2023 episode starts with Abhimanyu sneezing in the middle of the night and shivering in the cold. 

Thinking about taking medicine, Abhimanyu gets out of the room to get the water. 

Just then, Akshara comes there with a different blanket and a home remedy for his sneezing. 

As she is leaving, she asks him if he thinks it will be easy to live with them under the same roof for one month. 

She also tells him that be it one month or one year, the fact will remain that Abhinav is Abheer’s father. 

She tells her to stop hurting Abhinav with his demands because he will not be able to fight back as he is thinking about him and does not want to hurt him. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells her that he does not want to take away anything from anyone but only trying to make his place in his son’s life and will stay with him as long as it takes. 

The next day, Muskaan is feeling angry at Kairav who has called her several times but hasn’t spoken a word. 

Later, Kairav wakes up to see he has dialled Muskaan’s number several times in his sleep and calls to apologise to Muskaan. 

However, Muskaan has blocked him thinking it wise to stay away from each other.

Elsewhere, Akshara is studying while eating breakfast as Abhimanyu is feeling perplexed about being served bread and jam again for breakfast. 

He tries to gain Akshara’s attention while Akshara feels amused to see Abhimanyu’s expression who must be hoping for a healthy breakfast. 

After a while, Abhimanyu asks her if he can get anything besides bread and jam. 

Akshara tells him that he can help himself as this is a home and not a hotel. 

Feeling irritated, Abhimanyu goes to the kitchen to make something for himself and finds the kitchen scattered and messy. 

After a while, Akshara gets pissed at the noise Abhimanyu makes in the kitchen and begins to beat the glass on the table in answer to the noise Abhimanyu makes. 

Soon they were competing for who can make the most noise when Abheer comes there and shames them. 

Abhimanyu distracts Abheer by offering to make a healthy breakfast for him while Abheer helps him find the ingredients.

Abhimanyu is impressed with his knowledge while Abheer tells him that Akshara has taught him to be independent. 

Later, Abhinav is happy to be back to work and is planning to hurry back to Abheer after dropping off the tourists. 

At the same time, Abheer is running late for school while Abhimanyu offers to take him to school and tells him that he will go as s a guardian. 

Just then, Abhinav calls Akshara to bring him to school as he is running late. 

Akshara does not want to let Aheer go with Abhimanyu but Abheer insists, forcing her to let him go. 

Elsewhere, Ruhi ties her shoelaces and feels upset for having to do it herself when Aarohi comes to lend a hand but Ruhi tells her that she will do it herself. 

She also tells her that Abhimanyu has told her not to burden Aarohi. 

Aarohi feels light-hearted to see Ruhi settled in her routine but does not approve of Abhimanyu living with Abheer and Akshara.

At the school, Abhimanyu and Abheer are waiting for Abhinav when Manjari calls him and feels happy to talk with Abheer.

On being told that Abheer is waiting for Abhinav to conduct his father-son presentation, Manjari gets angry and tells Abhimanyu to take his rightful place as Abheer’s father.

However, Abhimanyu tells her he cannot interfere in Abheer’s life and create chaos. 

Just then, Abheer’s teacher calls Abheer’s name while Abhinav is still not reached the school. 

Abhimanyu tells him to go inside and that he will send Abhinav inside as soon as he comes.
