Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 29th August 2023 episode starts with Kairav and Manish taking Abhimanyu to sit while the referee tells him that Akshara’s team has gotten the penalty. 

The whole team is joyous until they have to decide who will take the penalty. 

The Battamiz boys make fun of Akshara’s team and tell them to accept defeat which angers Akshara.

Finally, Abheer Cracks A Smile

Meanwhile, Abheer takes the place in front of the goalpost which fills the whole family with hope. 

Despite being mocked, Abheer kicks the ball straight into the goal which makes everyone jump with joy.

However, Akshara feels sad to see Abheer still sad despite winning the game but her sadness turns to happiness when he finally breaks into a smile and then laughs heartily. 

Later, Akshara comes to Abhimanyu and thanks him for hurting himself so that Abheer can come back to the ground.

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells her that all that matters is that Abheer is happy. 

At the same time, Abheer comes to take a water bottle and sees Abhimanyu tying a bandage on his foot and talking to Akshara. 

The next day, the doctor tells Abhimanyu and Akshara that their efforts are showing results as Abheer is improving. 

Akshara feels happy and tells Abhimanyu that soon Abheer will be back to normal. 

Just then, Abhinav’s diary falls from Abhimanyu’s bag making Akshara emotional and she runs with a dairy to hide in a room. 

Abhimanyu follows her and asks her how can he help her.

Abhimanyu Consoles Akshara

As Akshara sits beside Abhimanyu, she cries and tells him that she does not understand how to overcome the pain of losing Abhinav who was their biggest support. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu shares with Akshara his first experience with death where Manjari used to cry a lot whenever someone came to offer condolence.

Abhimanyu tells her that he sent them all away for making Manjari cry and then Manjari explained to him that they are only helping her come over her grief.

He tells her that the more she shares her pain with others the sooner it will stop hurting.

Afterwards, he plays a radio for Akshara telling her that this helps him whenever he is down. 

Both of them sit listening to the RJ who is talking about love and its various forms. 

Akshara feels better and thanks Abhimanyu and tells him that she wants to give her career a chance. 

Abhimanyu appreciates her decision and offers her a chocolate to celebrate her first step.

The next morning, Abheer wakes up from a  bad dream and realises that he has wet the bed. 

Just then, Akshara comes towards the room telling him to get ready for school. 

Abheer comes into action and locks the door before Akshara can come inside.

He runs to change his room while everyone gathers around Abheer’s room in worry. 

Abhimanyu tells them to not panic and goes away while Abheer tries to cover his wet bed with powder and perfume. 

Abheer Confides In Abhimanyu

Just then, Abhimanyu comes inside the room through a window and hugs Abheer, feeling embarrassed at being caught. 

Abhimanyu tells him that everyone in this world has done this at some stage of their childhood including him. 

Abheer feels reassured and tells him that this has been happening for a few days after he had a bad dream about failing the exam. 

Abhimanyu tells him that this is a very natural fear and everyone has it before the exam so they will not let it cower them but will study and overpower it. 

Abheer asks Abhimanyu to stay with him for a few days as he does not want anyone to find out about this and he is scared of being caught and made fun of.

Abhimanyu agrees and comes out of the room with Abheer telling everyone that Abheer was feeling scared of exams. 

Later, he asks Akshara if he can stay with Abheer for a few days until his exams are over as he is pretty scared.
