Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 2nd August 2023 episode starts with Manish asking Abhir that Abhir had told them once that he can live with his grandparents, Neelam Amma and Docman.

Meanwhile, Abheer tells Manish that now he knows that he was wrong and he cannot live without his parents. 

He also tells Manish that if he is forced to live without them then he will continue to run from home. 

Turning to Abhimanyu, Abheer apologises for hurting him and that he tried his best but he only like to live in Kasauli. 

He requests him to grant his wish while Manjari tries to distract him with cake cutting but Abheer tells her that he will cut it once Abhimanyu answers him. 

Kairav Takes A Stand For Abheer

Akshara and Abhinav also try to distract Abhir from asking to live with them but Kairav tells them to stop. 

Kairav tells them that they are hurting Abheer by trying to ignore what he said so honestly.

Meanwhile, Parth tells all the children that they should let the elders talk and they go inside. 

Afterwards, Manjari tells them that children are not mature enough to take such big decisions. 

Apologising to everyone for keeping Akshara from meeting Abheer, Manjari requests them to not punish Abhimanyu for her mistakes. 

Meanwhile, Kairav tells her that they are only talking about Abheer's happiness and that is with Akshara and Abhinav. 

However, Anand tells Kairav that every child needs some time to adjust to a new environment so he should give them some time and if Abheer still cannot adjust in a few months then he will agree with whatever decisions they will take.

Swarna asks him what if Abheer develops some serious trauma or depression during these months that can affect his personality.

Meanwhile, Manjari tells Swarna that the court must have thought on this matter too before giving custody to Abhimanyu. 

However, Swarna asks Manjari to honestly answer if Abhimanyu is happy or if she is. 

Surekha also tells them that all this will affect the other two children living with them. 

As the argument escalates between the two families Abhimanyu tells them to stop it and that he is the only one who can decide for Abheer because he was given his custody. 

He walks towards Abheer’s room with determination while the rest of the family looks at him with concern.

In the meantime, Abheer and the rest of the children are sad and ask Nishtha if Abhimanyu will grant Abheer his wish. 

Meanwhile, Nishtha tells them that she can only assure them that whatever Abhimanyu will decide will be for his well-being. 

Abhimanyu Sacrifices His Happiness for Abheer

Just then Abhimanyu comes there, picks up Abheer and goes downstair.

He once again asks him if he wants to live with Akshara and Abhinav and gives his hand to Akshara after he nods yes. 

Akshara and Abhinav do not believe their ears while the Goenkas smile at Abhimanyu’s generous decision. 

However, Manjari breaks into tears feeling sad for Abhimanyu. 

Afterwards, Kairav tells Abheer that he should now cut the cake as his wish is granted. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu maintains a brave face for the sake of Abheer but his heart shatters piece by piece. 

Manish tells Abhimanyu that he can understand the agony he must be in after this decision but he has proven that like a mother a father can also make sacrifices for the happiness of his child. 

Abheer cuts the cake between claps and brings a piece of cake for Abhimanyu and apologises to him for hurting him. 

He also asks him if he can call him Docman as he will always be his best friend. 

Abhimanyu gulps down tears choking him and nods with a painful smile. 

Just then a phone bell proves as a blessing and he walks out of there. 

Outside the house, Abhimanyu folds on the porch when the pain becomes unbearable and cries.
