Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 2nd October 2023 episode starts with Akshara telling Abhimanyu that she will tell the driver to drop him but Abhimanyu tells her that he will go on a bike. 

However, Abhimanyu’s foot twists while trying to climb the bike, and Akshara stops him. 

Their eyes meet which makes Akshara feel awkward and rushes inside only to be stopped by Muskaan. 

Muskaan tells Akshara that she is not ready for the marriage otherwise she would not have been running from him. 

Late at night, Muskaan’s words keep Akshara awake and she tries to distract her with many activities but her restlessness persists. 

The next day, Birlas arrives at the Goenka house along with Sujeet and his wife who are delighted to be a part of this wedding. 

Akshara is ready and looking beautiful when Aarohi, Surekha, and Swarna come to take her downstairs where everyone is singing folk wedding songs. 

Just then, Abhimanyu watches Akshara arrive and his heart beats a little faster seeing the euphoric beauty. 

Manjari settles Akshara and Abhimanyu together and starts the rituals but Abhimanyu senses Akshara’s sadness. 

After a while, Suhasini tells Abhimanyu and Akshara that from now the real rituals are starting and now they cannot go out of the house. 

Soon after, Abhimanyu is seated on the stage and everyone begins to apply Haldi on him. 

Later, Abheer asks Akshara to apply Haldi on Abhimanyu while Akshara feels nervous but applies the Haldi when everyone insists. 

Akshara tells Abhimanyu that she wants to talk to him and is waiting upstairs. 

Abhimanyu tries to follow him but is stopped by Anand and Manish. 

After a while, Manjari comes back with another bowl of Haldi and Swarna goes to call Akshara.

Abhimanyu observes the worried faces of Goenkas when Manish tells Manjari that Akshara is not home. 

Manjari is shocked while Surekha asks if Akshara is having cold feet. 

Meanwhile, Manish gets angry and scolds Surekha for talking nonsense. 

However, Surekha tells him that she is only telling the truth and there is a possibility that she has run away to Kasauli. 

Surekha's words pleases Muskaan while Abhimanyu tells Surekha that Akshara has not run away. 

Muskaan comes in front of Abhimanyu looking mighty pleased and asks him if he is sure about what he is saying. 

Abhimanyu tells her that he has complete faith in Akshara and he can clarify it by calling her. 

However, Akshara’s phone does not connect despite his many attempts while Aarohi tells him to wait as it is possible that Akshara is calling him. 

Meanwhile, Akshara is walking on the street trying to call Abhimanyu when she begins to feel dizzy. 

Just then, her call connects but her head hurts a lot and she can only mention Abhinav’s name when her phone drops and she holds her head to stop the pain. 

Later, Surekha tells everyone that Akshara took Abhinav’s name which suggests she is not able to handle these celebrations. 

Abhimanyu wipes his face and tells everyone that he is going to get Akshara.

On his way, he recalls the bell in the background during Akshara’s call and that those bells are a sign of old schools. 

Meanwhile, someone offers Akshara water that helps her regain some semblance.
