Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 2nd September 2023 episode starts with Muskaan crying in Akshara’s arms telling her to call Abhinav back as it is very painful to live without him. 

After a while, Muskaan realizes what she is saying and apologizes to Akshara for losing her calm.

She then tells her that she will not be joining them in the Rakhi celebration tomorrow.

Kairav and Manish overhear Muskaan and Kairav wants to go after her but Manish tells him that this is the journey that Muskaan has to embark on her own. 

Akshara also agrees with Manish and tells Kairav that they should give Muskaan space so that she can find happiness at her own pace.

Later, Abheer apologizes to Ruhi for being angry at her and tells her that he has brought Rakhi for her because she always protects him.

Muskaan Returns To Her Family

The next morning, Goenka's house is bustling with activities in preparation for the Raksha Bandhan celebration. 

Just then, Akshara sees Kairav worrying for Muskaan while Kairav tells her that seeing Muskaan in pain makes him feel like a failure as husband.

However, Akshara tells him that although the challenge is tobut he will never fail. 

Elsewhere, Muskaan tells Neelam that because of her, Kairav is not happy either but she feels helpless to control her emotions and hates feeling happy. 

However, Neelam Amma tells her that death is evident and everyone has to leave the world at some time. 

At the same time, she should cherish her family which is a gift to her from Abhinav and share her pain with them so it doesn’t drown her.

Elsewhere, Akshara receives a call from her client and rushes to help her telling Manish that her client might be in danger. 

Swarna tries to stop her telling Manish that she is feeling restless as if something bad will happen to Akshara. 

Meanwhile, Manish tells her that Akshara is made of stronger stuff and will be fine.

Akshara Saves Muskaan

Later, Muskaan arrives at home feeling light after talking to Neelam Amma.

Just then, some goons arrive there and mistake Muskaan for Akshara. 

Muskaan tries to call Kairav for help but the goons shut her mouth. 

Akshara comes there and hits the goon and shouts at them for daring to touch Muskaan and coming to her home. 

Just then, Muskaan shouts for Kairav and Manish comes rushing out at her voice. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu and others also come running inside and look scared to see Akshara in tigress mode. 

After a while, all the goons leave while Akshara runs to Muskaan to check if she is alright.

Muskaan hugs her telling her that she used to think that after Abhinav she is all alone in this world but she now knows that she is there for her. 

Afterwards, Muskaan asks Akshara if she can tie Rakhi to her while Akshara laughs with happiness at Muskaan’s request.

Later, Birlas and Goenka's celebrate the Raksha Bandhan happily and prays to be always together like that.

Afterwards, Abheer praises Akshara for fighting so bravely with goons while Abhimanyu tells him that he too is scared of his mother now. 

Later, Abheer tells Abhinav about his daily routine and also that Akshara bats better than Kohli. 

Akshara sees Abheer talking like this and hugs him tightly with love. 

Meanwhile, Muskaan comes to Kairav with sweets and finds her talking to a woman. 

Kairav ends the meeting and thanks Muskaan for the sweets while Muskaan asks him about the woman. 

Kairav tells her that Pallavi is his new manager after Mr Kumar retired. 

Trouble in Birla's Paradise

The next morning, Birlas and Goenka's are on video call during breakfast.

Just then, Mahima tells Abhimanyu that the board has decided to make him a medical director. 

Everyone becomes happy while Parth does not like the decision and walks away.
