Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 31st March 2023 episode starts with Akshara looking at Abhinav suspiciously when she spots the report in the car and is shocked to read them.

Seeing reports in Akshara’s hand, Abhinav recalls the doctor's diagnosis when he told him that Abheer has a hole in his heart and the chances of survival are very limited, and at Abheer’s age, it is negligible. 

Meanwhile, Akshara walks inside with laden feet while Abhinav follows her looking equally defeated. 

Moments with Abheer flash in their eyes, while Akshara throws things to vent her helplessness not agreeing to believe that this can happen to Abheer. 

Just then, Abheer comes there asking Akshara what is in his report while Abhinav tells him that he will tell him what is in the report. 

He takes the chip and burns it telling Abheer that he had a severe stomach infection and that from now on, he will only eat what Akshara will buy or allow him. 

Abheer feels relieved and tells him that he is going to tell Neelam Amma about it while Abhinav tells him to go without running. 

Afterward, Akshara begins to blame herself that God is punishing Abheer for her sins. 

Abhinav tells her that she is not at fault while Akshara cries thinking she is the one who has caused Abheer all this. 

However, Abhinav tells her that she has done everything for Abheer ever since his birth and is a blessing to Abheer. 

He assures her that they will find a way to save Abheer and tells her to have faith in God.

Meanwhile, Ruhi tells Manjari she will plan the wedding while Manjari laughs at her and tells her if she will plan the wedding then, all they will see are her friends as guests and the food menu will have noodles, pasta, and pizza. 

Just then, Shefali comes there and tells Manjari to leave the wedding planning to her as it will also keep her occupied. 

However, Abhimanyu tells her to focus on restarting her career and start thinking about herself. 

On the other hand, Neelam Amma tells Muskaan about a stomach infection while handing over the phone to Akshara. 

On hearing that there are preparations for Abhimanyu and Aarohi’s wedding, Akshara tells her to not worry and focus on her training. 

After a while, Abheer gets angry at Abhinav and Akshara for not playing with him. 

Seeing him angry, Abhinav and Akshara dance to the tune "Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaaon" to appease him. 

After a while, Akshara gets annoyed while playing puzzles and declares to give up while Abheer reminds her that she has always said that even the most difficult puzzle gets solved by trying. 

After a while, Abheer recalls informing Abhimanyu about his infection and decides to call him later. 

Later, Akshara and Abhinav are shocked to hear that Abheer has to go through surgery to survive. 

The doctor also gives them the list of the best heart surgeons and tells them to make an informed decision. 

Both Akshara and Abhinav feel scared thinking about Abheer’s surgery but Akshara tells him that they cannot afford to be scared at this moment. 

Just then, Abhinav spots Abhimanyu’s name on the list and feels relieved that Abhimanyu will save Abheer. 

However, Akshara stops him saying that she does not want to go back to Udaipur between those people and their taunting behaviors.
