Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 4th September 2023 episode starts with Abhimanyu running away from Akshara after hearing Akshara sing again. 

He becomes worried about seeing his past coming before his eyes and prays to God not to let all this happen to him again. 

Later, Abhimanyu and Abheer feel nervous about their performance while Manjari and Akshara come to help them feel confident and crack jokes about their singing abilities to lighten the mood. 

After a while, Abhimanyu and Abheer take the stage and are about to sing when the light goes off and the inverter is out of order as well. 

Abheer gets sad telling Akshara to do something or else his position as the best student will be compromised. 

Reflecting on the scenario, Akshara tells Manjari that they will have to do something or else this performance will never happen. 

Manjari is puzzled while Akshara tells her to come with her as she needs her help. 

After a while, Akshara arranged the engine battery to bring light to the stage. 

Abhimanyu and Abheer are impressed by Akshara’s quick thinking when the bike's lights are switched on. 

Abhimanyu dedicates the performance to Akshara and Manjari and announces that they will also give a dance performance to thank them. 

Abheer and Abhimanyu sing “Ae Zindagi Gale Laga le” which surprises Akshara and Manjari both because they are singing quite well. 

Afterwards, the duo gives a marvellous Dance performance on the song “Ilahi”. 

The audience is thrilled with the performance and cheers Abheer and Abhimanyu.

Later, the prize for Best Father-Son Jodi goes to Abhimanyu and Abheer while Abhimanyu dedicates the award to Manjari and Akshara. 

After a while, Akshara asks Abhimanyu to pay the Guru Dakshina while Abhimanyu changes his tune saying he would have won after all he is very talented. 

Akshara taunts him for changing his tune now that his work is done while Abhimanyu once again gets the flashes of their past and becomes uncomfortable. 

Just then he drops the trophy while opening the car door and Akshara bends to pick it up and would have crashed into a car had Abhimanyu not dragged her back.

Abhimanyu shouts at Akshara for not caring about her safety just for other people's sake as she did six years ago. 

Akshara is stunned to hear six years ago reference and tells Abhmanyu that six years ago Neil died and his heart is still stuck there, she was wrong to think that they have moved on from there. 

Later, Abhimanyu and Akshara are living those hurtful moments and crying over them.

Abhimanyu feels sorry for unintentionally hurting Akshara once again. 

The next day, Goenkas and Birlas are busy preparing for the Janmashtami celebration while Akshara and Aarohi shame Kairav for eating in front of them knowing that they are fasting. 

Just then Abheer and Ruhi come there dressed as Krishna and Radha. 

Everyone praises the kids while Akshara gives Abhimanyu a cold shoulder. 

After a while, some women come to Akshara and take away the fruits and knife from her saying the knife is too sharp for her to handle.

Abhimanyu observes this peculiar exchange but is preoccupied with thinking about apologising to Akshara to pay any heed. 

After a while, he comes near Akshara but Akshara coldly asks him questions about Abheer and is about to leave when Abhimanyu apologises to her. 

However, Akshara tells him that she is not ready to forgive him because then he will get another chance to taunt her with regard to the past.
