Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 5th January 2023 episode starts with Manish telling Abhimanyu that if he had shown this much maturity with Akshara then he and she would have been together. 

Later, Abhimanyu sees Akshara’s missed calls and calls her back despite his better judgement.

However, Abhimanyu is surprised to hear a stranger's voice and asks about Akshara. 

Abhimanyu misunderstands Abhinav when he tries to say that Akshara wants to talk to him. 

Later, Abhimanyu gets angrier while Abhinav nervously tries to explain his point. 

Just then, Akshara returns and overhears Abhimanyu’s declaration about having nothing to do with Akshara whether it is about her or the baby. 

Akshara’s optimism dies its death hearing Abhimanyu and she resolves to never contact Abhimanyu again. 

Both Akshara and Abhimanyu relive the painful movement of Neil’s and their children’s death. 

After a while, Manjari and Shefali tell Abhimanyu that he will have to keep his promise about looking after Aarohi and her baby. 

Later, Abhimanyu comes to Aarohi’s room to talk to her and assures her that he will love her child a lot and give him/her a share of the love of his lost children too. 

Aarohi also assures him that she will also look after her child a lot and will do everything to protect her. 

Soon days get spent with speed while Aarohi and Akshara journey to motherhood with Abhinav and Abhimanyu’s help. 

Meanwhile, Akshara and Abhinav get an eviction notice from the landlord. 

Akshara tells Abhinav that she should have taken a separate accommodation months ago so that he doesn’t have to face the eviction with her. 

Abhinav tells Akshara that with her seven months of pregnancy, he can only let her go if she goes to Udaipur to her family. 

Just then Akshara’s contractions begins and she did not get the chance to talk more on the subject. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu plans to celebrate Manjari’s birthday and invites Goenka to the party too. 

Manish, Swarna and Suhasini are happy to receive the invitation and approve of Abhimanyu’s efforts to keep the family and Aarohi happy. 

After the cake cutting, Abhimanyu borrows Manish's phone to take pictures and was poised to take a selfie when Akshara’s call on the phone stuns everyone. 

Akshara’s name after such a long time brings back a lot of memory from the past and the phone slips from Abhimanyu’s hand. 

Akshara’s voice addressing Manish echoes in the silent room where Akshara is informing him that she has gotten married.

Abhimanyu can not bear it anymore and leaves the house.
