Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 5th October 2023 episode starts with Abheer telling Aarohi that Suhasini told him that in olden times, people used peacock feather to apply Mehndi (Hina) on hands. 

As Swarna and Manjari take the peacock feather to apply Hina, Abheer tells them to write Akshara’s name on Abhimanyu’s hand and ABhimanyu’s name on Akshara’s hand. 

Akshara Keeps An Eye On Aarohi

Meanwhile, Aarohi takes the children to have dinner and Sujeet also leaves conspicuously. 

Abhimanyu and Akshara look at their hands and feels the effect the name has on their heart.

After a while, Akshara observes Aarohi from afar and sees how she hesitated to get the water when Sujeet purposely stands there looking lecherously at her. 

In the meantime, Manish, Anand and Kairav are busy watching the match on mobile when Suhasini comes there and scolds them for watching the match when it is their children’s Mehndi function. 

On being asked, Suhasini tells them to dance for them if they are getting bored. 

Manish tells her that his confidence is in the dustbin after being scolded by the choreographer the previous day. 

However, Swarna tells him that they will have to dance because they are applying Mehndi for them.

Seeing no option, all the men present dance on “Mai Ni Mai Teri Munder Pe Bol Raha Hai Kaga".

Aarohi Warns Sujeet Off 

After the performance, Aarohi is looking after the arrangements when Sujeet comes near her and is about to touch her when Aarohi turns and warns him off. 

Seeing daggers come out of Aarohi’s eyes, he tells her that he understands that she has been lonely for a long time and that is why she has forgotten the difference between good touch and bad touch. 

However, Aarohi tells him that even the school-going girls recognise disgusting people like him.

On the other hand, Akshara is walking when her foot twists and she is about to fall when Abhimanyu catches her and asks her why is she running around in such a heavy lehnga and Mehndi applied hands. 

He also offers to do what she wants done so she does not have to do it.

Akshara tells him to apply lemon on her Mehndi and teases him when he fumbles. 

In the meantime, Aarohi tells Sujeet not to take her for granted as she is a well-educated woman who is only quiet because she does not want any scene in the celebrations.

Sujeet smiles creepily and tells her that he loves challenges and will now come closer to her to see what she can do about it because he knows that this society will never blame the man but the woman is the one who is targeted. 

Just then, Manjari comes there, asking Aarohi to bring some things from home and asking Sujeet to accompany Aarohi or Mehndi will be spoiled.  

Abhimanyu and Akshara also come there and Akshara observes Aarohi’s angry stance. 

Aarohi looks perturbed and tells Manjari sternly that she can go on her own as her Mehndi has already been spoiled.  

Both Abhimanyu and Manjari are surprised at her behaviour while Akshara looks at Sujeet and Mehndi on his sleeves. 

Later, Akshara observes Sujeet from afar and is disgusted to see his lecherous gaze that is on every girl in the function. 

Akshara Encourages Aarohi

Just then, he sees Aarohi return and block her way, making Aarohi glare at him and then turn to another side to walk past him. 

Akshara comes there and takes her with her to a different room. 

In the room, Akshara tells Aarohi that she knows the reason for her fears as she is not happy with her for not taking a stand for herself and letting that vile man control her. 

However, Aarohi tells her that she does not want to create any scene in her functions. 

Akshara reminds Aarohi that men like Sujeet are leeches and need to be pulled off before they cause damage. 

She urges Aarohi to take a stand for Aarohi and all the other girls who will suffer if she remains quiet. 

Akshara assures her that she will be right beside her and will take care of people while she should only focus on teaching Sujeet a lesson.
