Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 6th September 2023 episode starts with Birlas and Goenkas Dancing to the tunes of “Dhol Baje”  when Abhimanyu comes to Akshara and apologises to her. 

Meanwhile, Muskaan comes in front of Kairav and asks him how much longer will he be angry with her.  

Kairav tells her that as long as she harbours nonsense thoughts in her mind and mentions marriages are no joke and needs to build on mutual understanding and trust.

He also tells her that just because he has hired a female manager does not give her the right to suspect his fidelity. 

In the meantime, Abhimanyu begins to play the Drum and is about to hurt himself on a broken glass when Akshara saves him but leaves immediately after. 

The next morning, Aarohi and Shefali discussed about children’s excitement about getting ready. 

Meanwhile, Parth tells Mahima and Anand that he will not be going as he does not want to pretend anymore. 

Mahima chides him for sulking because he was not made MD and praises Abhimanyu for being the best choice for such a big responsibility.

Parth looks hurt and tells Mahima that she has finally joined Abhimanyu’s team while Mahima takes pity on him and tells him that he can ask him anything to compensate for not making him MD. 

However, Parth’s demand leaves the family in shock when he says that he wants division in family, property and everything that is his. 

Before Mahima can slap Parth, Abhimanyu stops her and asks Parth if he really wants division while Parth tells him that he is tired of proving himself to everyone about his capabilities. 

Manjari scolds him for thinking of breaking apart the family while Parth tells her that this family is already divided in heart and he feels suffocated living there. 

Manjari asks him if there is any place in the world where everyone is complete because there is none. 

She tells him that families complete each other's weaknesses and stand together and forgive each other whenever someone commits a mistake just like this family has forgiven him and that too several times and now he wants to break it. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells him that there is no competition between brothers but they should be happy with each other's success. 

Parth becomes sarcastic and calls it child's play while Shefali angrily shames him for being jealous of Abhimanyu who has worked day and night to prove his mettle. 

Seeing the argument gets heated, Abhimanyu tells Parth that he can take six months to convince the board, family and Mahima that he deserves to be the MD and he will resign from the position and even after that if he feels that there should be division in the family then he can do that as well.

Mahima scolds Abhimanyu for giving in so easily while Abhimanyu tells him that they will have to think about Parth’s happiness and if he is not able to grow professionally then they will have to let go. 

After careful thinking, Anand and Mahima agree and tell everyone that they should leave for the Janmashtami celebration. 

After talking to Aarohi, Akshara tells her family about Parth's demand. 

Goenka's are worried about Parth's decision and are about to cancel when Aarohi messages Akshara that they will reach the venue directly. 

Later, Goenkas and Birlas are together at the Janmashathmi ground when Ruhi asks them why only boys break “Handi” and not girls. 

Akshara also joins Ruhi’s protest and Suhasini tells Manish to arrange one more “handi” for girls. 

Akshara and Abhimanyu banter with each other and soon it becomes a discussion between boys and girls and Suhasini declares it as a competition.
