Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 8th March 2023 episode starts with Abhimanyu performing the operation when he gets lost in Akshara’s thoughts while Mahima who is assisting him, tells him to go as he does not look right in his head and she does not want to risk the patient's life. 

Seeing Abhimanyu protest, Dr. Rohan also tells Abhimanyu to leave. 

Abhimanyu is thinking about Akshara in anger and tells himself that he has to get clarity or else his six years of life are nothing but a lie. 

Meanwhile, Aarohi and Manjari come to Goenka's house with Nishtha but Manjari is not happy about coming there. 

Before going inside, Aarohi shows Manjari the necklace given by Abhimanyu which surprises Manjari while Aarohi tells her that Abhimanyu is making an effort to accept this relationship and they should also support him. 

In the meantime, Akshara and Abhinav come to Manish to inform him about going out. 

However, Manish sees through them and chides them for going when Aarohi is coming to select the ring. 

Akshara tells him that she does not want to spoil Aarohi’s special day. 

Manish understands her reason but tells her that he will not allow one daughter to leave the house for the sake of another. 

Later, Aarohi introduces Surekha to Manjari while Surekha in her unique style taunts Akshara’s presence and that she knows them too well. 

Suhasini diffuses the situation and asks Surekha to serve refreshments to everyone. 

Meanwhile, Muskaan and Kairav argue with each other about Birla’s and Goenka’s coming together. 

In the meantime, Abheer comes to greet everyone while Aarohi asks Akshara’s choice of rings. 

Just then, Abhimanyu calls Akshara and she disconnects, contemplating his reasons for calling her. 

Abheer asks Manjari if he can select a ring for her while Manjari tells him that he can select whichever he likes. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu continues to call Akshara and Akshara excuses herself to take the call. 

Abhimanyu tells Akshara to pick up the phone or else he will have to come to her.

Stopping his car on the other side of the road, Abhimanyu gets out of the car in anger and gets hit by the speedy truck. 

Muskaan sees the accident taking place and runs to inform everyone while Akshara runs to Abhimanyu like a mad woman. 

She is shocked to see Abhimanyu struggling to get up and rush to his side, putting his head on her lap. 

Seeing Akshara runs towards him, Abhimanyu falls unconscious. 

After a while, others also come running and Manjari and Aarohi are shocked to see Akshara trying to wake him up. 

Surekha expresses her surprise and asks herself what this connection between Abhimanyu and Akshara is called that they came together in a moment despite years of separation. 

Akshara tries to wake Abhimanyu and after some time, Abhimanyu opens his eyes and tells Akshara that he knew that his Akshu will definitely come to him. 

Just then, Manjari also comes there and transfers Abhimanyu’s head to her lap while Akshara comes back into reality realizing that Abhimanyu is no more his responsibility.
