Today's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) 8th May 2023 episode starts with Shefali telling Manjari that Abhimanyu and Akshara can come back together.

It is because they are still stuck with each other and have a child of their own. 

Meanwhile, Aarohi who has just come inside is shocked to hear Shefali’s decision. 

On the other hand, Abhimanyu comes across Akshara on the road and thinks about Akshara’s confession from the previous night.

Akshara also thinks that she was wrong to waste her time with Abhinav but now she is ready to move on with him. 

At home, Abhinav helps Abheer get ready while he talks about his dream. 

Meanwhile, Akshara looks at them affectionately while Kairav tells her that Manjari will fight for Abheer. 

Just then, Abhimanyu comes home to perform the test on Abheer which surprises Akshara and Abhinav. 

As Abhimanyu tells Akshara to sign the papers, Manjari comes there and signs the paper as Abheer’s Dadi. 

However, Akshara is not impressed and cuts Manjari’s signature and signs over it, telling Manjari that she might have not heard things clearly yesterday so she will tell her again.

She says that Abhinav is Abheer’s father irrespective of her relationship with Abhinav. 

However, Manjari tells her that she cannot change the fact that Abheer is a Birla and she will do everything in her power to take him back to where he belongs even if she has to take legal channels with it. 

Later, Manish and others are worried about Manjari’s threat to court while Kairav tells them that they will also hire the best lawyers. 

Manish tells Kairav to be calm as they should not turn this into a battle and think of finding a solution through talks. 

Kairav refuses to resort to talking and tells them that they never could find a solution through talking nor will they resolve anything this time. 

He also tells them that they cannot let Manjari take Abheer from them at any cost. 

Seeing them all argue, Suhasini tells them to be quiet and think of Abhinav and Akshara who only has the right to decide in this matter. 

Meanwhile, Akshara and Abhinav feel scared at everyone’s speculation. 

Elsewhere, Manjari tells God that she did not think anything before threatening Akshara and only said what she felt like because Abheer is more dear to her as she cannot live without her grandson. 

On the other hand, Akshara is looking through her books to find a precedent for a custody case when Abhinav stops her telling her to calm down. 

He also reminds her of her own words that problems are only big if they make it big and she should not let it affect her as they all will always be together no matter what. 

Later, Abheer comes to ask Akshara the meaning of custody and tells them that Kairav was talking about it. 

Akshara gets scared and decides to talk to Manjari to protect Abheer. 

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells Manjari that she has crossed the line by talking about Abheer’s custody case. 

He also tells her that all this will affect the children and that is why, he was quiet about it because custody cases get ugly as they proceed. 

Later, Abheer is sad about not being able to talk to Ruhi and asks Manish to take him to her. 

However, Manish excuses himself while Kairav reminds him of his homework. 

Elsewhere, Aarohi scolds Ruhi for making her talk to Abheer while Shefali tells her to not get angry at Ruhi. 

Aarohi tells her that she has seen her concern when she was telling Manjari to bring Akshara and Abhimanyu together without thinking about her and Ruhi.

Meanwhile, Abhimanyu tells Manjari to think of Abheer’s feelings which will get hurt seeing his parents fight. 

He also tells her to let go of her wish to bring Abheer to this house.
